537 more pounds of trash were removed last weekend! This weekend we will be focusing more on trailwork. Meet at the LB Houston California Crossing Trailhead on Saturday April 8th.
What we will be doing:
Primarily: Trail work
- Trimming
- Removing branches/obstacles
- Cleaning/trash removal
- Privet removal when needed
Please invite your friends, family and coworkers! It is a great way to get outside, move around and do something great for the environment.
Greenspace Dallas will provide all tools, leather gloves, and equipment.

• What to wear:
We will be working outdoors in areas that may have mosquitoes and poison ivy. Please wear boots or sturdy, closed-toe shoes, pants, and socks that come over the calves. We do not recommend ankle socks, yoga pants, or leggings.
• Other personal items to bring:
Water bottle(s), sunscreen, bug repellent, sunglasses, and snacks
• Greenspace Dallas will also provide additional safety and first aid materials.
LB HOUSTON NATURE TRAILS: This location was closed for a number of years as the city was repairing a large sewage line break. Greenspace Dallas is in the first of a three-year phase to restore and renovate this beautiful piece of nature in Dallas along the Trinity River. Join us to be part of this exciting time and see the improvements each week firsthand!
Please note, our volunteer events are held outside and are dependent on weather conditions. We make every effort to make cancelation decisions by 3:00 pm on Friday. We will communicate any cancellations, or changes, through MeetUp and our email list.
