What is Trifecta
One very long day.
Then the good part(y).
A mountain bike endurance challenge across the Grapevine Lake trails, ridden in order in eight hours. And this year, a finish line worth hanging around for.
The suffering is part of the fun. The fun is waiting at the end.
|
|
The challenge
Conquer three trails
Grapevine
Horseshoe
Fast, flowy and friendly. The warm-up lap that makes you think the whole day is going to feel like this. It is not.
Roanoke
Knob Hills
Six loops stacked along Denton Creek. Rock, roots, punchy climbs and long stretches where it is just you and the trail.
MADD Shelter, Flower Mound
Northshore
The most ridden trail in North Texas, and the one everyone is waiting at. You can hear the music from the last mile.
Choose your distance. Choose your drivetrain.
Pick your version of hard
Everyone rides the same order, drives between trails and gets the same eight hours: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. What changes is how much Northshore you take on, and how many gears you bring.

Finish it. Earn the headtube badge.
Every finisher takes home the Trifecta headtube badge for their category. It goes on the bike. It stays on the bike.
E-bikes
E-bikes are permitted. Class 1 only, in the geared categories. Pedaling and permits are on you. Each trail's land manager sets its own rules, so read them and get your permit before November 7.

The finish line · Northshore, MADD Shelter
The ride ends.
The day doesn't.
This year the finish line is a festival. From 4:30 PM, Northshore fills with families, friends and the whole DORBA crowd, waiting for the last riders to roll in. It runs until 8:30. Nobody packs the bike and leaves. Not this time.
Live music
Luna On Fire, on stage 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Food
Real food for riders who have been living on gels since Horseshoe, and for everyone who has not.
Drinks
Cold, plentiful and well earned.
Bike shops + vendors
Shops and brands you actually ride, with demos and giveaways. Not tables to walk past.
Fun challenges
Bragging rights that do not require 40 miles.
Kids activities
Things for the kids to do while you recover.
Fun for pets
Bring the dog. Pets get in free. Leashes are required by city ordinance, no exceptions, and bring your own poop bags.
Northshore into the evening
Sunset over Grapevine Lake from the best seat in North Texas.

Vendors + partners
Want your brand at the finish line?
We are booking bike shops, outdoor brands, gear, family activities and community groups for the Trifecta festival. Space is limited.

|
Bring the family
They don't have to ride 40 miles to have a good time.
Bring the family. Bring your friends. Let them come out to Northshore, grab something to eat or drink, explore the festival and be there when you roll across the finish. They get an evening by the lake. You get a cheering section. Festival entry is $5, kids 5 and under are free, and so is the dog, on a leash.
|
Live at Northshore
Luna On Fire
The band goes on at 7:00, right as the last riders roll in. Not a concert, not a music festival. Just the right band, in the right place, at the right hour.
|
Take Trifecta home
The Trifecta 2026 tee.
The trident, the wheel and every trail name you survived. Wear it to the festival. Wear it on Monday so people ask.
