About this event

Have you ever wanted to perfect your form and increase speed into corners?

Join us Saturday, July 20, from 8:30 AM to 11 AM at the Elm Grove Picnic Area at River Legacy for our DORBA Intro to Cornering/Slalom Clinic.

This is a fast-paced intermediate clinic where we will learn proper body language that will help translate to faster cornering in a controlled setting. We will then apply what we learned on the trail. This is a great skills clinic for a CAT 2/3 racer trying to increase speed in corners.

Please fill out the waiver before the clinic.

Minimum age requirement is 16. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for them.

Please Note: It will be hot! Please hydrate and fuel accordingly, and don't forget your electrolytes!

Requirements: Be an intermediate rider with a minimum of a year of trail riding experience. You can stand on your pedals, keep your balance, and can use the attack or low ready position. You can get on and off your bike with ease and you can ride endurance pace for 90 minutes to 2 hours. This is not a beginner clinic.

Duration: 2 hours

Cost: $40. Event is for active members only. Not a member? Become one today then come back to this page to register.

I started cycling in 2008 on my first used mountain bike. The racing bug started in 2016 at a DORBA race at Rowlett Creek Preserve. I realized very quickly that I’d found my passion. In 2018 I attended Barnett Bicycle School in Colorado Springs to maintain my fleet, work in bike shops and teach bike maintenance. Later in 2018, I became a PMBIA Certified Instructor. I fell in love with teaching and giving back to the cycling community. I volunteer for DORBA trail work and at Bike Gangs of FTW to wrench on bikes. I’ve partnered with parks and rec departments, DORBA, FWMBA, IMBA, bike clubs and Spider Mountain to put on low-cost or free mountain biking skills and maintenance clinics. I’ve also become a personal mountain biking coach to those who have a desire for a deeper dive into XC and enduro racing. I love racing in multiple disciplines including enduro, downhill, gravel, cyclocross, road, XC and XC marathon. My list of titles includes 2nd in Amateur Women Southern Enduro Tour 2018, 1st USAC Texas State Marathon Championship 2019, 3rd Texas State Cyclocross Championship 2021, 3rd in Pan American Cyclocross Championship 2021, 3rd in USAC Texas State Cyclocross Championship 2021, 2nd USAC Texas State XC Championship 2022, 1st National XC Championship 2022 and 3rd Enduro National Championship 2022.
